5 Things to Know Before Election Day
1. Register to vote – See below on how to check your registration or register.
2. Research Candidates – Study the issues, do your homework. Print a sample ballot to bring to the poll.
3. Absentee and early voting – If you know you can’t make it to the polls on election day, plan to absentee vote or vote early.
4. Find your polling place.
5. Election Day – Voting takes time. Plan your day and give yourself extra time to get to the polls early.
Things to Know for Election Day
– Polls open at 7 AM to 8:00 PM. If you are still in line when the polls close, stay in line! You can still vote. – A State picture ID or drivers license is required to cast your vote
– If you experience problems at the poll immediately contact the Registrar of Voters at 225-562-2330
